The aim of our Children’s Ministry Department is to nurture children into a loving, serving relationship with Jesus. We seek to fulfil this mission by developing Grace-oriented ministries, in which all children will experience the unconditional love of Jesus, find assurance of acceptance and forgiveness, and make a commitment to Him and develop their faith.
Kabangwe Main SDA Church is a place where children are loved and valued, a place for children to grow spiritually, mentally and socially. By embracing knowledge and Christian values, they are equipped to go into the world as disciples of Christ and beacons of hope to the needy.
The Children’s Ministries Department exists to develop the faith of children from birth through age fourteen, leading them into union with the church. It seeks to provide multiple ministries that will lead children to Jesus and disciple them in their daily walk with Him, and as such cooperate with the Sabbath School Department and other departments to provide religious education to children.
Jesus gave us clear instruction as to the importance of our young people when He said, "And whosoever shall receive one such little child in my name receive me ... Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven" (Matt. 18:5,10).
When His disciples would have sent the young people away, thinking that they were interrupting the important work of the Master, Christ said "Let them come ... for such is the kingdom of heaven" (Matt. 19:14). Teenagers form a precious, most important part of God's church. They are not only the "church of the future," but also the church of the present.
"But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
~ Matthew 19:14 ~
How We Serve
Children's Ministries seeks to provide young children with support, ideas, and resources to help them grasp how much Jesus loves them. Various activities and programmes are offered in various outreach efforts such as Vacation Bible School and Children's Sabbath School. Each year, at Camp Meeting, tailor-made programs are provided for children between birth and twelve years of age. Through songs, stories, crafts, and classes, children learn what it means to live for Jesus.
